Whole School Open Day - Saturday 6th October 9.30am - 12.30pm

Our Prep and Senior Schools will be open for you to come and experience life at both our Schools, meet staff and current pupils, see the classrooms and grounds and hear about what is on offer for your son and/or daughter.  Our new Head Ms Jo Sharrock will be speaking to parents at the Senior School and you are welcome to visit either or both schools during the morning.  You can register for our Prep and Senior Open Mornings here: Open Day Registration


SHS Art Exhibition at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery - Tuesday 9th - Tuesday 16th October 2018

This exhibition will include art work by students from the High School as well as work by Art Scholars and Alumnae.  On Saturday 13th October 2018 Portrait Artist Peter Edwards will be giving a portrait workshop to GCSE art students from both the High School and local pupils.  Following the workshop he will be giving a talk to the general public.  To find out more, or if you would like to take part in a workshop or hear Mr Edwards speak, please contact

Early Years Open Morning - Wednesday 17th October 10.30 - 11.45am

Come and find out about what is on offer in our warm and nurturing Early Years.  Kindergarten, Reception and Year One classrooms will be open to parents with children aged 2+ who are starting to think about their child's first academic steps.  Shrewsbury High Pre-Prep offers a gentle transition from home to school and we would be delighted to welcome you to find out more.  Please email or call 01743 494 038 to find out more and book your place.


Biomedical Conference - Saturday 20th October

Our fifth annual Biomed Conference will be taking place on Saturday 20th October for pupils in Year 9 or above who are thinking about a career in the medical industry.  Experts will be talking on subjects from psychology and nursing to veterinary science and biomedicine.  Please register below or email


Sixth Form Open Evening - Wednesday 7th November 7-9pm

This is the perfect opportunity to meet current Sixth Formers, hear from our Director of Sixth Form and Headteacher about what is on offer to you in our Sixth Form and then speak to subject tutors about individual subjects at A-level.  You can register for our Sixth Form Open Evening at Open Day Registration

We have some great music lined up for you, including Chabrier’s taste of Spain ‘Espana’, Gershwin Orchestral Songs performed by Georgia Yates, Walton’s quirky 1920’s Façade for speaker and ensemble, Bach’s exciting Double Violin Concerto first movement with soloists Rosie Sherpa and Rebecca O’Sullivan, a foot-tapping Henry Mancini Medley (complete with Pink Panther), a concert band ‘Romance’ for Lily Atkin on Alto Saxophone and the jazz standard ‘Get Happy’ for massed choirs and orchestra.  We also welcome prep department singers from years 4-6, who join us on this occasion.  The evening begins at 7.00 pm and will finish by 9.00 pm.
