There are many other ways you can help Shrewsbury High School continue to provide the very best education for present and future generations.

The GDST bursaries and scholarships fund
The GDST welcomes contributions from past pupils, parents and many others to their Bursary and Scholarship fund.
The Bursary and Scholarship Scheme aims to ensure that GDST schools continue to be accessible to a wide range of students. A scholarship is awarded on academic merit, measured in a competitive entrance examination and irrespective of financial means. The maximum value of a scholarship is 5% of the published fees.

A bursary also takes into account academic merit, but every bursary is means-tested and the value of the bursary is related to the income and financial resources of the pupil's family. The maximum value of the bursary can be the full published fees.

Making a gift
The GDST is delighted to receive all gifts of whatever size. There are a variety of methods available to suit the intentions and means of every donor and to maximise the value of their gifts, including payroll giving, regular giving by standing order, single gifts, matching gifts, gifts of stocks and shares by individuals and gifts made by companies. We are also aware that some donors wish to remain anonymous, so if that is the case with you, please indicate that when you send your donation or make your pledge and we will honour your request.

Legacy giving
We welcome any gift that you are able to make through a legacy. Every bequest, whether large or small, will help us to keep GDST at the forefront of education and enable us to continue to promote wide opportunities for our young people. The GDST Development Office staff will be happy to discuss your plans and provide you with any information you need.

You can find out more about all these ways of helping by visiting the fundraising page of the GDST website.
